Professor Application Information - Vanishing Cabinet - 07-14-2025

Please read this whole thread if you wish to app a professor.
All professors at Hogwarts must be over the age of 25 and have an accepted adult application for the Wizarding World.
If your character is a graduate of Hogwarts, they do not need to additionally apply to the Wizarding World; a professor application will suffice.
To be considered, you must have had an active Knockturn Bound character for 1 IC Term. Due to the newness of the site, if you can show proof of an active character on another site, that will be taken into consideration.
If you are apping a professor for the first time in your desired subject, you must submit your lesson plans by the 15th of the summer month.

Guidelines
Here are a few things to keep in mind as you look to begin your magical journey:
- All site rules apply when creating your character. While there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to characters, and we welcome a variety of personalities to add spice to the roleplay, this must still be done within the guidelines provided. Not sure whether something you've written into the application is against the rules? Reach out to one of our admins, and we'll be happy to help clarify!
- Once you have submitted your application, you will be unable to make changes. Please ensure you have everything you'd like us to know and consider before sending it in. If there is something critical that you have thought of that you believe will impact your character, reach out to a member of the admin team asap.
- The admins have the final say on the characters that are accepted. This is not meant to deter any from applying, but to be a gentle reminder that we reserve the right to refuse a character that we deem to be in breach of any of the site's rules or canon, or doesn't fit what we're looking for in that particular role. With that being said, we don't make a habit of rejecting characters unless they are absolutely incapable of being able to fit into the site's established canon. For that reason, our team is more than happy to work with you to better tailor your character should your application hit a snag.
We endeavor to get all characters approved in a timely manner; however, in some cases, due to the content of the application or the requirement for further clarification, applications may take a bit of extra time to be approved. Even then, we try to get through them as quickly as possible. We appreciate you being patient with us.
